Before either star donned their mantels of 'Captain', Chris Evans and Brie Larson had supporting roles in the 2010 Edgar Wright comedy Scott Pilgrim Vs the World. Based on a graphic novel, the protagonist Scott Pilgrim, an aspiring yet already failed musician, sets his sights on the elusive Ramona Flowers. However, in order to win her affection, and a record deal, Scott must battle Ramona's seven evil ex-boyfriends.

Sounds weird? Yeah, it's a pretty weird movie. But as such features one of Chris Evan's most entertaining performances. Evans stars as movie action hero Lucas Lee, the manliest manly man ever put to screen - and that's saying something considering the fact that he's been Captain America for almost a decade. As one of the seven evil exes, Lucas Lee battles Scott on the set of his new movie, using an army of stunt doubles before eventually losing the fight. How, you ask? By grinding a rail on a skateboard too fast and exploding. Yeah... that really happens.

Brie Larson also stars as an ex-lover, not of Ramona's but Scott's. Throughout the movie, Scott is haunted by memories of her; she left him to further her own music career, becoming megastar Envy Adams. Far from her Role as Captain Marvel, Larson plays a spiteful, vindictive woman whose relationships are nothing but toxic. Although, Scott manages to move past his history with her, he did have to fight her new boyfriend Todd and his vegan powers.
