In Together, wannabe musician Tim consumes a strange liquid while in a cave, causing him to become uncontrollably drawn towards his girlfriend, Millie. When Tim explains to Millie that he believes his body is attempting to merge with hers, she dismisses him before ordering him to sleep in another room.

In the next shot, a sleeping Tim can be seen being dragged across the hallway while asleep. At first, the only rational explanation is that Millie is pulling him. But as Tim wakes up, he sees his body is dragging itself towards Millie's room against his will. Not only is this a cool reveal, it also establishes how powerful this unexplained urge is.

Tim tries to fight it, but this makes his bones writhe and snap, causing immeasurable agony. As the door before Tim opens, he sees Millie, plodding towards him face-first while her body is contorted backwards. Despite their best efforts to control themselves, the pair's arms mesh together, resulting in the bones in their hands to crunch and pop.

Although the scene boasts phenomenal visuals and is shot flawlessly, it's the actors' desperation that makes it truly horrifying. Dave Franco and Alison Brie are masterful at portraying confusion and palpable fear during this sequence, amplifying the tension exponentially.
