10 Best Horror Movie Moments Of 2025

2. Rocky Road To Dublin - Sinners

After the success of the Creed and Black Panther movies, it seemed like Ryan Coogler could do no wrong as a director. And that trend continued with Sinners, which found monumental success, critically and financially.

A period horror, Sinners follows twin mobsters, Smoke and Stack, who prepare to open a juke joint for African Americans. Unfortunately, their plans are jeopardised when the establishment is invaded by an Irish vampire, Remmick, and his horde of bloodsuckers.

Before launching the assault, Remmick decides to rally his legion to boost morale, but instead of giving a speech, he breaks into the folk song Rocky Road to Dublin while doing a jig, encouraging his brethren to do the same.

Although turning a vampire thriller into a musical could've backfired, the melodious sequence is a work of genius. Rather than depicting the vampires as evil incarnate, this moment establishes that they're still in touch with their humanity. Remmick's gang appears genuinely proud of their roots, making their performance profoundly inviting. It also creates a major conflict of emotions for viewers, seeing these ghouls take part in a passionate display before gorging on their victims.

Most importantly, the song and dance number is an absolute banger. Seriously, good luck getting that tune out of your head.
