David Fincher's masterpiece about the creation of Facebook should've won the Best Picture Oscar over The King's Speech, but it undeniably endures as an instant classic that surges thanks to Fincher's astonishing direction, Aaron Sorkin's electrifying screenplay, a slew of brilliant performances and Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross' stirring score.

Jesse Eisenberg received a Best Actor Oscar nomination for his performance as Mark Zuckerberg, and it's also widely believed to be the role that won him the Lex Luthor part in the first place, regardless of how fans may have ultimately received it.

Considering even many Fincher fans scoffed at the notion of him making a compelling movie about the origins of the social media platform, it's incredible how much brilliant drama the entire cast and crew managed to wring out of it.
