10 Biggest Downgrades In MCU History

4. Quicksilver

Professor Hulk
Marvel Comics

Perhaps sitting as the clear frontrunner for most disappointing MCU Avenger to date, Aaron Taylor-Johnson's version of the wise-cracking speedster known as Quicksilver was facing a bit of an uphill battle out of the gates.

Not exactly aided by the arrival of Evan Peters' much more engaging and impressive X-Men iteration as part of Days of Future Past a year before his MCU debut, Johnson's Maximoff twin also didn't exactly match up to what many had been anticipating from the fan-favourite silver sensation.

Possessing the ability to run at ten times the speed of sound when sprinting around in various Marvel comics, seeing Pietro be so easily gunned down in the midst of Age of Ultron left many scratching their heads at just how disappointingly simple it was to dispatch such a legendary speed merchant.

It isn't all about speed when it comes to comic book Quicksilver, either, as the lightning quick force has also shown off extreme durability (resisting tremendous force with his super-durable skeleton), accelerated metabolism (15-times that of a normal human), enhanced strength (he can leg-press one ton), and rapid intelligence (he can read dozens of books in minutes).

But MCU-Silver still couldn't match up to a couple of well-placed bullets.
