9. Will Smith

Much like Ryan Reynolds, you definitely wouldn't class the Will Smith seen in his earlier years in projects like The Fresh Prince of Belair and Six Degrees of Separation as an out of shape human being. But there's no doubting that the wise-cracking comedy superstar grew into another beast entirely as soon as roles in various action flicks started landing at his feet.

After showing off a slim and lean physique in the likes of Bad Boys and Independence Day, and being transformed into boxing shape for his starring role in Ali, Smith took things up a notch from 2004 onwards. To boast the shredded frame we saw from the actor in I, Robot, Smith ran five miles a day, focused on weight training, and brought his body fat down to 7.5% by slowly dropping his calories and cutting out junk food.

As the years rolled by, the iconic actor/action star would continue to cut a ripped figure in everything from I Am Legend to Suicide Squad. Sure, Smith may have rolled out a body double during his CGI-assisted blue topless sequences in the live action Aladdin feature, but the star has more than proved he's up to the task of piling on the muscle when the time calls for it.
