10 Films That Prove 1984 Was The Best Year For '80s Movies
3. Indiana Jones And The Temple Of Doom
Generally regarded as the weakest of the original three Indiana Jones films, Temple Of Doom is still packed with enough action and excitement to make it the 10th highest grossing film of the '80s, falling just one place behind The Last Crusade. All the Indiana Jones films are just awesome and this one is no different. We follow Indiana as he agrees to help a desperate Indian village find a mystical stone before finding himself deep inside a temple (of doom) housing a crazed cult practicing human sacrifice and child slavery. With his trademark whip, quick one-liners and a boulder-sized pair of balls, Indie makes short work of retrieving the stones, saving his girlfriend and getting the sh*t outta there. Not before getting getting captured and black-magicked into a mindless slave for a while, of course. And why does he get himself into these awesomely crazy shenanigans? "For fortune and glory." So '80s.
