10 Great British Horror Films Of The Last Decade
6. Kill List
Any "Best Of" list talking about British horror in the past decade would be remiss to not mention the name Ben Wheatley.
Known now for films such as Free Fire, High-Rise, and the impending sequel to Tomb Raider, Ben Wheatley cut his teeth on a number of films aren’t easily categorised but all have horror at their core. Sightseers and A Field in England are both essential viewing, but the string of horror infused films he directed all started with Kill List.
When two former soldiers return home following their military service, they take up the mantle of contract killers. With money tight, they take a job offer from a shady client who gives them three marks to kill, but it all gets a little strange when the client cuts both his hand and that of one of the soldiers to seal the contract in blood.
As the two soldiers begin to take out their targets, they soon suspect there’s more to this job than meets the eye. The less you know about the film before watching, the better.
