6. Parcher - A Beautiful Mind
Parcher is probably one of the more rational of our characters on this list. Parcher is an FBI agent, who gives remarkable code breaker John Nash top level clearance on a secret project detailing soviet threat. However the project gets out of hand as soviet agents begin to trace and hunt Nash and Parcher. Of course this is all in the mind. The film A Beautiful Mind (2001) is loosely based on the real exploits of mathematician John Nash, and his advent to success in spite of his delusions. Parcher is rather convincing and never really felt fictional, until we saw John break down in public. The covert agent played by the talented Ed Harris, packed quite a punch in his enigmatic form. However the appearance of Parcher, and many other imagined characters lack punch because it's resolved quickly, and ultimately the film doesn't really focus on their significance.
