7. Old School
The first and only film in this list to feature members from the 'Frat Pack' group tells of the story of Mitch Martin (Luke Wilson), a heartbroken, thirty-something attorney who reignites his frat-boy days when he moves into a house residing near the local university campus. In a film which also features Will Ferrell and Vince Vaughn, Mitch and co are forced to form a fraternity in a bid to beat the big bad, Dean Pritchard (Jeremy Pivon). Despite this corny premise,
Old School actually worked quite well, providing enough laughs to be considered genuinely noteworthy. With mud-wrestling,
Godfather references and borderline paedophilia,
Old School had a lot going for it. Although relatively unappreciated at the time, the film has since stood the test of time to become one of the stronger and more original R-Rated comedies out there. Sadly for Luke Wilson, it looks set to be his last real comedic starring role; though of late, Owen has lent his name to enough crap for the both of them to get by.
