10 Greatest R-Rated Comedy Films Of All Time

7. Old School

The first and only film in this list to feature members from the 'Frat Pack' group tells of the story of Mitch Martin (Luke Wilson), a heartbroken, thirty-something attorney who reignites his frat-boy days when he moves into a house residing near the local university campus. In a film which also features Will Ferrell and Vince Vaughn, Mitch and co are forced to form a fraternity in a bid to beat the big bad, Dean Pritchard (Jeremy Pivon). Despite this corny premise, Old School actually worked quite well, providing enough laughs to be considered genuinely noteworthy. With mud-wrestling, Godfather references and borderline paedophilia, Old School had a lot going for it. Although relatively unappreciated at the time, the film has since stood the test of time to become one of the stronger and more original R-Rated comedies out there. Sadly for Luke Wilson, it looks set to be his last real comedic starring role; though of late, Owen has lent his name to enough crap for the both of them to get by.
