1. The Collector Is In It After All
In January 2016, SuperheroHype asked Benicio del Toro if he'll be back as the white-haired wonder The Collector in Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2. His response suggested that the chances were slim: "I don’t think so [...] They would have told me".
However, in August of that same year, The Daily Mail's paparazzi photographers spotted del Toro on the Marvel Studios lot, back in that beautiful white wig. The assumption from the rumour mill was that del Toro will be in Vol. 2 after all.
The Collector still isn't listed on the film's IMDb page, or mentioned in any of the press releases or trailers, but del Toro must have been filming something that day. Perhaps it's only a one-scene cameo or a post-credits tease, but he was definitely wearing that wig for a reason. The only other option is that he was shooting a scene for a different Marvel movie.
Guardians 2 i still shrouded in secrecy, then, but if the rumours are anything to go by, it should be a immensely exciting flick, chockfull of surprise characters, changes of allegiance, familial revelations and villainous threats. And hey, even if the rumours are all wrong, you've gotta have faith in James Gunn after the first film.
