9. Nymphadora Tonks

Known to hate her first name, Tonks was an auror for the ministry and member of The Order of the Phoenix. Tonks has a lot of personality and is well loved amongst her friends.

Tonks is a metamorphmagus meaning she can change her appearance at will without needing any spells or portions. However she is a bit part player in Harry’s story, especially in the films where she appears in the last four and only handful of scenes.

The close relationship between Tonks, Lupin and Harry is clear when Harry is announced as their son’s godfather but that friendship isn’t delved into deeper. We’d love to see her more and that friendship and joy that their friendship could have brought to the screen if we weren’t entirely focused on the good vs evil. But as they say conflict is what makes films so we’ll just have to mourn the loss.
