10 Horror Movie Details You Definitely Missed The First Time
4. The Snyder Cut Film Canisters - Army Of The Dead
Zack Snyder sure does love his Easter eggs and wink-wink references, and in his recent Netflix zombie film Army of the Dead, he couldn't help but include a reference to his famous Snyder Cut of Justice League.
When our band of anti-heroes are plotting their Las Vegas casino heist, we briefly see the imagined interior of the casino vault, and on the left-hand side are a number of what are clearly film canisters.
What exactly would film reels be doing in the vault of a casino that you'd quite reasonably expect to be filled with nothing but cash?
As Snyder himself later confirmed, the canisters were actually props of the Snyder Cut film reels, with a close-up of the canister labels even reading "Z.S. JL Director's Cut."
Given that the Snyder Cut was effectively locked in Warner Bros.' vault at the time that Army of the Dead was being filmed - a good while before the studio gave him the greenlight to complete it - it's an Easter egg both amusing and meaningful.
