10 Horror Movies That Will Put You Off Travelling After Watching

8. Vacancy

Released in 2007, Nimród Antal's Vacancy isn't a movie that particularly focusses on holidaymakers or those looking for a break away from the trials and tribulations of mundanity.

Here, the film sees David (Luke Wilson) and Amy Fox (Kate Beckinsale) forced to stay in a local after their car breaks down on the way home from a family party. Unfortunately for this couple, said motel just so happens to be run by some creepy fellas who like to make and sell snuff movies - with David and Amy lined up as the stars of the next such film!

Most of us have likely stayed in a ropey hotel, motel, holiday inn over the years, and those who've previously checked out Vacancy will likely have a suspicion in their minds about where cameras could be hidden away in the rooms of such places.

Vacancy isn't the only place that will make you warry of motels, of course, for there are countless other horror efforts that use similar settings to deliver their terror and torment - most notably, the infamous Bates Motel in Alfred Hitchcock's iconic Psycho.
