10 More Movies Where The Reshoots Were Painfully Obvious

Where do we even start with the woefully underwhelming conclusion to Fox's X-Men franchise?

Dark Phoenix's post-production process involved a lengthy delay as director Simon Kinberg reshot significant portions of the film, including a third act that was originally deemed to be too similar to Captain Marvel, featuring a giant battle between Jean Grey (Sophie Turner) and the Skrulls.

And while the film's third act train battle actually slots in relatively well with the rest of the movie, the obvious reshoots and re-jigging actually pertain mostly to Jessica Chastain's alien antagonist Vuk.

Chastain was originally said to be playing alien empress Lilandra, and when this eventually turned out not to be the case, word emerged that she was playing an alien shape-shifter who would assume the identity of an FBI agent named Smith.

Given that the name of Chastain's character is ultimately only mentioned once in the movie and this name-drop was clearly dubbed over in post-production, it's woefully clear that clearly much of her character's back story was dropped and changed in reshoots. The choppy end result speaks for itself.
