10 Movies Where Characters Get Trapped In Ridiculous Places

4. Phone Booth

Colin Farrell Phone Booth
20th Century Fox

Colin Farrell takes a phone call from a pissed off Kiefer Sutherland, then remains trapped in the phone booth for the entirety of Joel Schumacher's, um, Phone Booth. In it, Farrell plays smarmy media man Stu, unable to hang up after a hidden sniper takes aim and refuses to let him hang up.

For a movie set almost entirely in a telephone booth, Phone Booth is admirably energetic, Schumacher's camera whipping a whirlwind around Farrell while he's stuck there, unable to move. It may all get very silly during the last half hour so, but so memorable is Phone Booth that many of us will never answer a ringing street phone again.

No, you hang up.
