10 Movies Where Characters Get Trapped In Ridiculous Places

Buried Ryan Reynolds

From Kill Bill to CSI, locking someone in a coffin and dumping them deep underground seems to be a popular way of sticking it to one's enemies. This hit its peak in Buried, the Ryan Reynolds in a coffin movie, in which Ryan Reynolds is... in a coffin.

Reynolds dials back his usual schtick to play truck driver Paul, kidnapped by a band of insurgents while on the road in Iraq and buried in a coffin, with only his lighter and a dying cell phone to see him through. Perhaps the most terrifying idea on this list, it's well-served by an uncharacteristically sympathetic Reynolds and claustrophobic up-close-and-personal direction from Rodrigo Cortes.

When our time comes, we'll take cremation, if that's okay - just to be sure.
