Incredulously, this actually happened - Charles Wesley Mumbere is an African prince who spent decades of his life working in the US as a nurse's aide. Despite never needing to work due to inheriting massive wealth at the mere age of 13, Mumbere chipped away in the US while political upheavals in his home kingdom worked themselves out. In 2009, with the Ugandan government re-instating the traditional kingdom infrastructure, Mumbere returned home to accept his crown as the King of Rwenzururu, and though little is said about the relationships he developed during his time in the US, co-workers said that nobody ever suspected his secret identity.
