10 Performances That Could Save Upcoming Movies

6. Linda Hamilton - Terminator: Dark Fate

Terminator is one of those great franchises that hasn't been great in literal decades. There's no single reason why recent installments have failed to match the quality of T1 and T2, but the identity crisis it has suffered for years now is certainly near the top of why it has fallen off-course. Clearly, Terminator Dark Fate looks to be something of a new beginning for the series, but how will this one be different from the likes of Genisys and Salvation? Well, Sara Connor herself is joining the fun this time around.

Director Tim Miller made a strong first impression with his first crack at live-action movies with the first Deadpool movie, but his record is still mostly untested. The film's lead Mackenzie Davis has shown promise in each project she's in and good ol' Arnie is always a charming presence, but it's Hamilton that will decide where DF falls in the series rankings. She certainly looks the part in the promotional material, but most importantly, she represents the times when the Terminator movies were at their absolute best.

While her inclusion may seem like a PR move, it's clear Hamilton was convinced to hop on after skipping out on several movies. This franchise needs an effective charge and having Linda Hamilton return after 28 years could prove to be exactly what this movie, and this franchise, needed.
