10 Poorly Reviewed Movies That Deserve Another Chance At A Franchise

9. Fantastic Four

No other Marvel property has had it quite so bad as the Fantastic Four.

Three times they've graced the big screen, each outing more laughable than the last, and eventually Fox gave up on trying to make it work.

Given the astronomical success of their comic book cousins, the Fantastic Four movies had no business being as bad as they were, but they will forever remain as a black mark in the history of superhero movies.

The spectacular mess that was 2015's Fant4stic notwithstanding, the original adaptation back in 2005 actually boasted a fair amount of potential (aside from the abysmal watering down of Doctor Doom).

Instead of fixing their mistakes for the sequel, 2007's Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer doubled down on all of the missteps of its predecessor, effectively killing the franchise's chance for success.

While we'll never again see Chris Evans as the Human Torch - a role he was brilliant in - due to his career-defining turn as Captain America, the rights to the Fantastic Four now belong to Marvel, so we should hopefully soon be in for a new iteration of the characters more in line with fans' expectations.
