Peter Parker may be the next Tony Stark ten years from now, but who should be the next Iron Man? Jane Foster looks set to inherit the mantle of Thor, while The Falcon will soon wield the shield as Captain America. Iron Man's fate, meanwhile, is unclear, but there's one logical place for the MCU to turn which could pay off in a big way ten years from now.

In the comics, Riri Williams is an intelligent young girl who manages to reverse engineer an old Iron Man suit into her own armour. After Tony's apparent death, she takes over as the Marvel Universe's new "Iron Man," but earns the Iron Heart moniker. Along the way, she's joined by an A.I. Tony Stark who guides Riri on her adventures.

That's a very brief overview of who she is as a character, but it's a premise with a tonne of live-action potential. There have already been rumblings of a Disney+ TV series, and we fully expect to see Iron Heart as a key part of the MCU by the time 2030 rolls around. Marvel Studios will likely cast a young actress for the role too, so her tenure is likely to be even longer than Robert Downey Jr.'s.
