10 Reasons Black Widow Could Shape The MCU's Future

3. Captain America Cameo?

Building up to Black Widow’s solo film, there has been speculation of multiple familiar faces being involved in the movie. Thunderbolt Ross has been pictured in the trailer already. Hawkeye has widely talked about in the film, due to the pair’s history, including Budapest. Nick Fury also has history in the Hungarian capital, as mentioned in Captain Marvel. While Iron Man, has been also rumoured to be making a surprising appearance.

However, the character’s cameo which would make the most sense would be Captain America. This film is set between the events of Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War. At the beginning of Infinity War, Natasha is paired with Steve in Edinburgh as they rescue Vision and Scarlett Witch. Therefore, there is a good chance that Marvel will establish how Natasha was reunited with Steve ahead of Infinity War.

With the possibility that the film may be the last appearance of Black Widow and potentially Captain America, it may be a way to give both a good tribute. This would be an opportunity to give them both a good send off and closure to both characters, as audiences will recognise this will be the last time we will see these original avengers on the big screen.

Be prepared for potentially another emotional ending…
