5. It's Faithful To The Book

The Fault In Our Stars might well be the most faithful book-film adaptation ever made. Every story, from The Hunger Games to Harry Potter has taken flak on the big screen for leaving out huge swathes of storylines and character development in favour of hurrying to the bombastic finale. The Fault In Our Stars does not suffer from any of these issues, staying rigidly faithful to the lovingly crafted story told by the book. It is this that has been a huge part of keeping the in-built fanbase on board with the film adaptation. The Nerdfighteria all have their favourite moments of Hazel and Gus' story and would be incredibly irritated were their most beloved scenes to be excised from the movie.
