5. Clint Barton & Natasha Romanoff

Clint Barton (AKA Hawkeye) and Black Widow (AKA Natasha Romanoff) are clearly quite close in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In the Avengers movie, not only were there some references to past experiences that they'd shared with each other ("this is just like Budapest all over again"), but there was clearly an affection shared between the two of them - which was most obvious when Romanoff was only convinced to abandon her "interrogation" when she found out that Barton had been compromised. Throughout the movie, when Barton was under Loki's control, Romanoff's only aim was to get him back - even if that meant hitting him really hard in the head - and, when he rejoined the good fight, the two worked seamlessly in sync with each other. They have both had extremely difficult lives and it would be gratifying to see them tell each other how they feel and find happiness in each other - not least because it would make them working together in future movies that little bit more interesting.
