2. Jared Leto's Bathroom-Related Production Delays - Morbius

Following on from Benedict Cumberbatch's footsteps in last year's list, we have yet another case of an actor going a bit too "method". And, honestly, it was only a matter of time until Jared Leto did something worthy of mention here. He is notorious for taking method acting too far, with his various perverse gifts to Suicide Squad's cast exemplifying this.

The much-maligned but magnificently meme'd Morbius was no different. Similar to the character he was portraying – a scientist with a debilitating blood disease – Jared felt he simply had to wear crutches throughout the shoot. In concept, this idea is innocuous, sure. Helpful, even.

Until he had to go to the bathroom. Leto still insisted on using crutches, unsurprisingly slowing production down to a halt. The impact was so detrimental that director Daniel Espinosa had to strike a deal with Leto, making him agree for someone to take him there using a wheelchair.

While Espinosa defended Leto's approach as part of the "process", it was not enough to prevent the film from getting overwhelmingly negative reviews. But next time you see a Morbius meme, think of the person who had to wheel Leto around set every time he needed the bathroom.
