Last Film Entry: Curse of Chucky (2013)

What's going on? It's been nearly three decades since Charles Lee Ray first inhabited the iconic red-headed doll, but Chucky is still going pretty strong. Though 2004's Seed of Chucky was a rather embarrassing entry in the franchise, which had long since made the shift from horror to horror comedy, the series overcame receiving the seemingly inevitable reboot treatment with 2013's Curse of Chucky.

While Chucky may no longer thrive on the big screen - Curse marked the series' step into the direct-to-video market - the latest film was well-received enough by fans who appreciated the shift back to horror from the brink Seed took the series toward.

Since its release, series creator and shepherd Don Mancini revealed that he's working on a seventh entry, with the most recent update coming just a few weeks ago via his Twitter account that it's still very much moving forward.
