10 Stupid Movie Villain Plans That Make NO Sense
3. Bane - The Dark Knight Rises
Nothing Bane does in The Dark Knight Rises makes sense. The movie starts with him destroying an aircraft in a way so it looks like it crashed. But since his soldiers shot the vehicle 400 times, that's a bit of a red flag.
He then makes false transactions at the Stock Exchange using Bruce Wayne's fingerprints to bankrupt him. But since hundreds of people witnessed Bane commit this crime, Bruce would be reimbursed.
In the next phase of Bane's ludicrous plan, he lures every cop in Gotham into the sewers before detonating a bomb that traps them under the city. Of course, this doesn't make sense since the cops can easily escape through a manhole. But, because all the characters in this film act like idiots, nobody does that.
When Bane paralyses Batman, he flies him to India and leaves him in a prison before flying back to Gotham. Although Bane intends to blow the city up with a nuclear bomb, he decides to wait several months for no reason. Unsurprisingly, this gives Batman enough time to heal, defeat Bane, and save Gotham. Why Bane didn't kill his rival or blow up the city when he had the chance is anybody's guess.
