10 Symbiotes We Need To See In Venom 3

3. Toxin

Venom 2 Carnage
Marvel Comics

Another offspring of Carnage could add to the delightful family drama of the Venom saga. Like Scorn, Toxin is a progeny of the Carnage symbiote except Toxin is much more powerful than his predecessors, possessing a higher resistance to sound waves and electricity.

Toxin could make the perfect big bad for Venom 3, especially if Venom's screenwriters take cues from comic book writer Rick Remender's abandoned storyline for Toxin. In April 2020, Remender posted ideas for an ultimately-scrapped Venom arc to Twitter.

Remender envisioned Toxin becoming a planetary threat when the alien parasite goes into 'heat', blasting symbiote spores all over Earth, making it a hive of Venom-like villains. Eddie Brock and Spider-Man would have had to set aside their differences and team up to stop the alien threat.

This plotline could easily set up a Tom Holland appearance in Venom 3, while upping the stakes considerably for Eddie, giving him a planet-wide menace to face off against.

Toxin's host in the comic books, Patrick Mulligan, has appeared in both Venom films, and given some of the plot developments in Let There Be Carnage, Toxin making an appearance in the next Venom film is almost guaranteed.
