10 Terrible Films That Spectre Actors Want You To Forget

4. The Avengers (1998) - Ralph Fiennes

Rotten Tomatoes: 5% The Plot: Calm down, Marvel heads, this is a different set of Avengers! An adaptation of the British TV series of the same name, the film follows secret agents John Steed and Emma Peel as they aim to track down a super-villain by the name of Sir August de Wynter. The aim? To take control of a weather-controlling device that would prove deadly in Wynter€™s hands. Why It Sucks: A spin off that you wish you could re-spin, the Avengers is a dull, ill-conceived mess from start to finish. Ralph Fiennes, as brilliant an actor as he has proven himself to be in the years since this film hit the big screen, was a miscast that the movie never recovered from. Add a near-wooden Uma Thurman into the mix, and it€™s not even a recipe for disaster, it€™s a genuine sleep aid. The film€™s climax seems as though it was particularly rushed, though nothing about The Avengers seemed to have had much thought put into it whatsoever.
