7. Rewards Membership/Total Access Membership

Now, a lot of people thought they were Rewards members because they opened an account, but they were mistaken. Blockbuster offered a Rewards plan to customers who planned on coming back to Blockbuster at any other time in that month. It only took two visits for the plan to pay for itself. What the plan did was grant you a free "favorites" rental once a week (favorites meaning any movie that wasn't a new release), took half the price off of regular rentals, and gave you coupons with your receipts to use at your leisure. If that wasn't enough, you could also get the Total Access membership in which you could chose to either take one, two, or three movies out at a time for a flat monthly fee and spend the next month walking in and out of the store without ever taking your wallet out of your pocket. This was a really great option for movie lovers because they could come in at any time, as many times as they wanted, and get whatever they wanted as long as it was available and as long as they were returning their movies. Now you're probably thinking, but Instant Netflix has instant access to hundreds of movies that you can watch at the click of a button. Yes, but they don't have many new releases available. Well, Netflix has them. Yes, but only when they are in stock and it isn't instantly in your hand. You have to wait at least two days to get any movie that you put on your queue, which sucks and also, coincidentally, brings me to my next point!
