8. She Made Her Film Debut In A Campy Musical Called "Camp"
No, not Camp Rock, which was Disney's failed attempt to reprise the success of its own High School Musical (albeit at summer camp instead of in a high school) but Camp, another movie musical set at - you guessed it - a summer camp, because that's a super popular idea, apparently? It also happens to be the motion picture that introduced the world to the legend that is Anna Kendrick, who starred as a character called "Fritzi Wagner" in this campy (who'd have thought it?) musical comedy flick that garnered warm reviews from the majority of critics - many who singled out Kendrick as a talent to watch. Boy, were they right. It's interesting to note that Kendrick made her acting debut in movie musical, of course, especially given that she has gone on to star in a bunch more movie musicals, including Pitch Perfect and - more recently - Into the Woods, which co-starred Meryl Streep.
