Her life was in their hands, I'm sure you'll remember. But you might not have heard that the spoilt rotten self-kidnapper Bunny Lebowski almost ended up being played by Charlize Theron. The future Furiosa auditioned for the part but didn't win the Coens' favour. Instead, Tara Reid took the role and ended up giving one of the best performances of her career as the horrid young woman whod fake chopping off her toe if it meant nabbing some cash. Its interesting to think of how Theron would have played it, though. Maybe it wouldve been a more lackadaisical Bunny, like Theron's turn in Young Adult (pictured above)? There arent too many other oh-what-could-have-been casting stories about The Big Lebowski, since the Coens wrote the screenplay with Jeff Bridges, John Goodman, Steve Buscemi and Sam Elliott in mind.
