7. The Sinister Six

A movie focusing on the Sinister Six never made much sense. After watching Harry Osborn murder Gwen Stacy, moviegoers were seemingly being asked to root for him and a team of bad guys getting up to who knows what. That's right, the key to making a movie focusing on that villainous team great - Spider-Man - was not expected to play any sort of role in the spinoff, and fans responded negatively to the announcement from very early on. However, it now appears as if another version of the Sinister Six will be very much present in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and Spectacular Spider-Man. While some sort of spinoff is said to still be a possibility, this first film will actually deal with them coming together, focusing on them in the Spider-Man franchise itself rather than introducing them in their own outing beforehand. Will we see six villains in the reboot or will they spread them out?
