9. The Script Was Written In Six Days

You would expect a movie as widely popular as Ferris Bueller€™s Day Off to take a long time to write. However, Hughes wrote the first draft of it in less than a week. Of course, a lot of things changed before they started shooting. Ferris was originally supposed to have two younger siblings, instead of just an older sister named Jeanie. The kids were removed from the script, but there were still childish drawings hanging on the fridge in the final product, suggesting that they still exist, but are just not present in any scenes. In fact, those drawings were created by Hughes€™ own son.
