4. All Of Mary Jane's Scenes (Amazing Spider-Man 2)
In Shailene Woodley, Amazing Spider-Man 2 landed a quality actress for the role of Mary Jane Watson, only to leave every one of her scenes on the cutting room floor.
The movie had so many pointless subplots, sequel setups and unnecessary villains to juggle in its desperation to kickstart a cinematic universe, and a consequence, there was just no room left for her in the final cut.
Completed versions of her scenes have never been released, but rough footage that leaked online shows her working at a coffee shop, riding a motor cycle, and sharing exchanges with both Peter Parker and Gwen Stacy.
Her role wasn't thought to be a massive one, but the plan was clearly to set her up as Peter's love interest in The Amazing Spider-Man 3, which would have happened by now if its predecessor wasn't crushed under the weight of its own sequel setups.
