10 Things You Won't See In Avengers: Age Of Ultron
7. Gone Girls
Much as it might seem as if Marvel is doing its damndest to cram every conceivable character from its cinematic canon into Age Of Ultron, a couple of names are notable by their absence.
Gwyneth Paltrow’s Pepper Potts made a brief appearance in The Avengers but there appears to be little chance that she will repeat the trick in the sequel. An early scene of a party at Stark Tower does get rudely interrupted, but not by Mrs. Tony Stark. Likewise Thor’s beau Jane Foster is nowhere to be found, and there’s no sign of either Paltrow or Natalie Portman in the listed credits for the film.
Again, a cast list on IMDB is by no means the be-all and end-all, but the trailers make it pretty clear that there will be a globe-hopping element to Age Of Ultron that further diminishes the prospect of Potts or Foster being involved. Which may strike some viewers as odd in light of the fact that both Iron Man and Thor as good as turned their backs on their costumed escapades to commit to their other halves, but a fleeting appearance by one or the other – and probably neither – is a best-case scenario.
