10 Truths We Don't Want To Admit About The Dark Knight Rises

7. The Day-Night Continuity Is Terrible

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aj1Q_BAqwa8 Here's a problem that plagues a lot of action films, and it's generally down to directors not planning out their shooting schedule well enough. When Bane sieges the stock exchange, it's during the day-time, and he notes that the transaction to steal all of Bruce Wayne's money will take 8 minutes (pretty ridiculous for a simple mathematical calculation if you ask me). By drawing attention to the time span, it makes the following scene seem even more absurd, as the night envelops Gotham City in record time. Sure, it makes sense to have the Gotham PD chase after Batman at night because, you know, it looks cool and stuff, so why not just set the start of the scene during the early evening, where everything is already a cool dark blue? Instead we're distracted from the thrilling action with strange continuity errors like this.
