5. John Williams Personally Requested To Write Obi-Wan Kenobi's Theme
The galaxy far, far away simply would not be the same without the moving musical themes produced by the legendary John Williams.
So, when the moment arrived to finally reward franchise key player Obi-Wan Kenobi with a long-awaited character theme in his own original Disney+ series, the untouchable composer decided he couldn't just sit back and allow somebody else to bring Ben's sound into being.
Despite Natalie Holt taking on the role of composer for the majority of the six-part project, she would confess to Vanity Fair that she understandably could not deny Williams the chance to step back into the galaxy far, far away to craft the Jedi Master's music.
As Holt would explain:
"It's the only legacy character that he hadn't done. So he spoke to [Lucasfilm president] Kathleen Kennedy and said, 'I just want to write Benny a theme.'"
And when the immortal John Williams requests to add some magic to the mix, Holt did what any wise soul would and happily sat back and witnessed the musical brilliance unfold, adding that "it's reflective, and it's just entirely appropriate. And it distills what the show is about in just the perfect way that John Williams can."
