10 Unreasonably Annoying Moments In Recent Movies

8. Foretelling The Obvious - Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning

If we're going to get pedantic, which is sort of what this entire list is about, you could argue that after eight movies, the missions that Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) and the IMF have been taking on haven't actually been impossible at all. This is simply because they keep succeeding and winning the day.

Sure, they have been improbable, but it seems that the team can achieve just about anything. Was it any surprise then that, even after how it was built up as the fight of a lifetime, Hunt and co. ultimately defeated Gabriel (Esai Morales) and the Entity in Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning?

That in itself is not an issue. Audiences will typically go into movies fully expecting the protagonists to come out on top, but The Final Reckoning did manage to take most of the jeopardy out of it.

Because the mission was so "impossible", it boiled down to just one possible sequence in which Hayley Attwell's Grace had to press a button within microseconds of it turning green. Due to the emphasis put on how this was literally the only possible way the Entity could be defeated, it became too obvious that this is exactly what was going to happen, and removed any kind of suspense from the moment.
