10 Worst Movies To Watch On Valentine's Day

2. Nymphomaniac/Anti-Christ/Any Lars Von Trier Film

Lars Von Trier is an expert on human relationships. Need proof? The Icelandic musical genius made her first ever acting appearance in the director's Dancer In The Dark, and despised the experience so much she labelled him a misogynist and vowed never to act again. Hm, bad example. How about the time he said he admired Hitler? Yeah, he's not gonna be taking over from cupid any time soon. The Danish filmmaker recently dedicated himself to making his trilogy of €œDepression Films€: Anti-Christ, where a married couple's kid falls to his death whilst they are busy having sex, ruining their entire relationship; Melancholia, where Kirsten Dunst's mental state is mirrored by a planet about to smash into Earth; and Nymphomaniac, a four-hour epic where Charlotte Gainsbourg can't stop having sex, even when she hates it. Post-viewing relationship status: Hate each other, and also the rest of humanity. Unless you're European, in which case you have a long intellectual conversation about the themes and mis en scene and then have a threesome with a barista.
