10 X-Men Characters Who Look Nothing Like The Movies

5. Rogue - X-Men Trilogy & X-Men: Days Of Future Past

When fans found out that Rogue would be featured in Bryan Singer's X-Men movie, they got excited, but a lot of them didn't approve of the casting of Anna Paquin in the role. At the time, Paquin was only 18-years-old, and while she is a talented actress, she looked nothing like the character.

Rogue is, shall we say, a voluptuous and curvy woman artists have been using as a source of sex appeal in the X-Men books for years. Not only that, but she also has a mean set of powers that weren't on display in the movie despite having them in the comics for decades.

This did make some sense, as it was more of a Rogue origin story than anything else, but seeing Rogue without the ability to fly or throw a truck at someone just didn't seem like it was actually Rogue on the silver screen.

Add to that the fact that she wore black leather with no green or yellow as any part of her costume, and there was no resemblance to the comic book character. Fortunately, they did leave the streak of white hair in her look at the end of the film and in subsequent appearances, but that was the only visual similarity to the comic book character.
