10 X-Men Characters Who Look Nothing Like The Movies

6. Wolverine - The Wolverine

Before reading any further, know that Hugh Jackman IS Wolverine, and there isn't another actor on the planet who could have played him as well as he has in the nine films he's played the character. That being said, there are aspects of his characterization of Wolverine that work well on the silver screen but don't reflect the comic book character in his entirety.

The biggest difference between the on-screen representation of Wolverine and the character in the comics is his height. Hugh Jackman stands at a six feet, two inches while Logan's height in the comics is a mere five feet, three inches.

Jackman stands nearly a foot taller than Wolverine does in the comics. While this isn't something that could have been fixed without recasting, which is something that would have been unforgivable, it's one of those things some die-hard fans won't stop pointing out about Jackman's performance.

The second problem the fans had with his appearance related to his costume, which didn't look like the comics at all. Fans were eager to see him throw on the Yellow and blue suit from the books, but it never happened. Jackman spoke about it in an interview with EW:

"I never really thought it was a possibility. I had no idea how the hell it would be done. We flirted with it at one point with The Wolverine, but we just couldn’t find a way to do it and be in keeping with the tone of the film. Sorry, guys."
