10 X-Men Characters Who Look Nothing Like The Movies
2. Juggernaut - X-Men: The Last Stand
When Juggernaut showed up as a surprise character in Deadpool 2, he finally looked like what fans were expecting to see when the character made it to the silver screen. He was rendered in CGI, and the only major difference in his appearance was the color of his helmet, but otherwise, he was Juggernaut.
The same cannot be said of his appearance in X-Men: The Last Stand. In that movie, he was played by Vinnie Jones, and there was barely anything recognizable linking him to the character in the comics. The first noticeable difference between the two is the size.
Jones isn't a small fellow, but he's no Juggernaut, who is nine feet, five inches tall, and weighs in at a whopping 1,900 lbs. Without CGI, there's no way to do that without some sort of muscular mech suit, so instead of going that route, Jones showed off his muscles in a leather-wrap costume that looked like it came off the set of Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome.
His costume wasn't red, which is a big factor of Juggernaut's in the comics, seeing as he gains his power from the Crimson Gem of Cyttorak. Finally, while Jones wore a helmet, it didn't look like the one in the comics at all, and there was very little resemblance.
Fans might not have even known who he was, were it not for his meme-worthy line, "I'm the Juggernaut, b****!"
