11 Times James Bond Said F**k You To The Fans

3. The Slide Whistle During The 360-Degree Spiral Jump (The Man With The Golden Gun)

One of the most impressive stunts in the entire Bond series comes when Roger Moore's Bond needs to cross a river with a broken bridge, so he does what any sane man would and uses the spiral of the broken bridge to perform a 360-degree flip, crossing the gap and landing perfectly on the other side. What makes the stunt so awesome is that it was achieved practically without any fancy visual tricks as you'd have nowadays, so it's a shame that composer John Barry felt the need to totally undermine the moment by adding in a head-smackingly unnecessary slide whistle sound effect. Barry later regretted adding the sound, as it took what was a genuinely death-defying moment in the franchise and turned it into yet another flippant, silly Roger Moore moment. If MGM re-released the Blu-ray with the slide whistle removed and simply awed silence in its place, few would probably complain.
