12 Movies Literally ONE Step From Perfection

Look, we all love The Social Network director David Fincher’s dark, camp psychological thriller Gone Girl, an accomplished adaptation of Sharp Objects’ author Gillian Flynn’s twisty novel of the same name.

But let’s be real, the uncomfortable and unnecessary closeness between Ben Affleck and his onscreen sister Carrie Coon results in some bizarre and awkward interactions upon a re-watch of this otherwise-classic flick, and there’s no explaining away their obvious chemistry.

It’s an odd decision which goes nowhere, but one which makes an otherwise tight and tense ride a little bit uneven and undeniably strange—and not in the good David Lynch way, either.
