Back in 2004, Bob Gale admitted that Back to the Future would make for a great musical. That idea is finally coming to life 16 years later, with a musical based on the 80s film landing itself on The West End…well almost.
Workshops for the musical started in 2014, with the intention of opening on the West End the following year. But due to tensions and creative differences between producers, the show premiered at the Manchester Opera House this February with a set transfer to The West End...sometime soon?
Despite fans excitement to see their old pal Marty McFly in a new way, the production seems to be off to a rocky start.
