10. Nick Fury's Gravestone - Captain America: The Winter Soldier
The suggestion that Nick Fury was going to bite the big one in the Captain America sequel turned out to be little more than subterfuge and a set-up for the impending Civil War story arc that will follow, but it did offer an opportunity for one of the best Easter Eggs of any 2014 movie. As Fury escaped his assassination attempt and watched the rotten core of SHIELD laid bare, he decides for the good of the superhero world and the Avengers initiative to go underground. Inevitably that figurative decision manifests in the very literal revelation of his gravestone. And of course, this being an MCU movie, the Russos couldn't resist a career-nod to Samuel L Jackson, using his infamous Pulp Fiction scripture playfully as his epitaph.
