The Ending

At the end of Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, Jack Sparrow reclaims the Black Pearl - his beloved ship now enchanted and shrunk into a bottle by Blackbeard - thanks to Gibbs, who is also reunited with.

As the credits near, Jack says he has a plan to restore it, which sounds wonderfully complex, but like it's definitely not just plucked out of the air:

"We shall need a crossbow, an hourglass, three goats, one of us must learn to play the trumpet, whilst the other one goes like this."

But Then...

Without any mention of the results of Jack's plan - which, crucially are usually bonkers but always work (that's his charm) - the Black Pearl is introduced in Dead Men Tell No Tales as still in the bottle. It's just never followed up on.

Presumably, someone didn't learn to play the trumpet?
