12 Things Marvel Will Want You To Forget About X-Men Movies

4. Professor X And Magneto CGI

In recent years, Marvel have done a great job of with regards to visual effects and making actors look younger. Robert Downey Jr in Civil War, Kurt Russell in Guardians Vol. 2, and Michael Douglas and Michelle Pfeiffer in Ant-Man and The Wasp all had years shaved off, and looked pretty good for it. This was all since 2006 however, where the standard of VFX wasn't quite the same.

In X-Men: The Last Stand, we see a flashback to Charles and Erik paying a visit to Jean Grey, and the CGI to make the two men look twenty years younger is awful, even by the standards of 2006, let alone today. The two mutants look like they are made of plastic, and even at its release, this scene had fans wondering what had happened.

In the ever confusing X-Universe timeline, this meeting occurs just three years after the events of X-Men: Apocalypse. It is incredibly hard to believe that James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender would turn into Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellan in this space of time, which isn't the only problem with this flashback scene...
