The Movie: The concluding movie in the Jennifer Lawrence-starring movie adaptation phenomenon, bringing Katniss' story to an end once and for all. Why The Fanboys Will Hate It: Because, like any novel series with a hardcore fanbase, they're always going to find something to complain about, no matter how good the adaptation is. Just look at the final Harry Potter movie: despite generally being regarded as the best film of the lot, it was still dumped on by the book's fans, and considering that Mockingjay is regarded as a so-so book anyway, they're going to be judging this movie extremely harshly. When a certain quote from page 97 isn't told in the exact inflection the fans believed it would be, outrage will follow. Will It Succeed Anyway?: At this point, the series is completely critic-proof, and though Mockingjay - Part 1 didn't gross quite as much as expected, this prime-rib finale to the franchise has a good chance of breaking the billion-dollar mark at the box office, and if not that, certainly being the highest-grossing of the four films. Its success has never been in doubt financially, though whether fans find it satisfying or not may be another story.
